We will pick you up in a comfortable van at the agreed location in Ljubljana and take you to our home kitchen, 15 minutes away. To start the day, we will welcome you with a selection of homemade delicacies: salami, spreads, cheeses, freshly baked bread, and a glass of excellent Slovenian wine. Then, we’ll put on our aprons and dive into making potica! What an adventure! We will prepare the dough, spread the filling, carefully roll it up and bake it to perfection. Potica is a well-known traditional Slovenian dish and is geografically protected. We will teach you exactly how to make it perfectly. We cherish our Nonna’s recipe, as it is a valuable part of our rich cultural heritage. After a delicious lunch, we’ll head to the stunning Kamnik-Savinja Alps and embark on a scenic journey to Velika Planina plateau, one of Slovenia’s best-kept Alpine secrets. A thrilling cable car ride will lift us above the treetops, offering panoramic views of the majestic surrounding mountains. At the top, we’ll explore the iconic herdsmen’s settlement, with over 100 charming wooden huts. Their unique, shingle-covered roofs almost touch the ground and represent the authentic soul of the highland tradition. The plateau is currently covered in a soft purple carpet of blossoms, making it look like something out of a fairytale. It’s the perfect time to visit, stroll among the flowers, and soak in the breathtaking views! Unforgettable experience blends natural beauty, cultural heritage, and the joy of exploration. At the end of our tour we will take you back to Ljubljana which will take us less than an hour drive. 

When I began exploring Slovenia and enthusiastically introducing it to people from all over the world, I realized that our land is among the most beautiful on Earth. You know the story of how God created the world, right? One day, as He wandered alone through the universe, He felt incredibly lonely. He looked around and His eye caught a glimpse of a beautiful planet. "Oh, look at that," He said to Himself. "Here, I could create something truly magnificent. This will be my home."

He took a large sack and filled it with seas and oceans, rivers and lakes, pastures, meadows, mountains, hills, and plains. He traveled far to the north and south, from east to west, carefully placing the beauty He carried in His sack. When He reached the land and he was right above here, He looked into the sack and whispered, "Oh no! This is impossible! The bag is empty!" He turned it upside down and shook it really good. And so, Slovenia was born, a beautiful land where we've got a little bit of everything: the sea, rivers, lakes, mountains, hills, pastures, meadows, and wonderful people who proudly share this beauty with everyone who visits.
